Gallery – field research

Photos others and I took while researching Skippers Canyon for Riverstones.  My childhood and life long friend took the cover picture for Scattered Stones.  These are abandoned cottages in Central, the wooden cottages were the original tiny home, all wood and nails were bought from the old country and the home was built, demolished, and rebuilt many times before the final abandonment.  Great conservators, even the nails were saved for the rebuild.

It’s difficult to talk about yourself when writing blurb and my mate Kev stands in for me whenever I feel it could be embarrasing.  He goes everywhere with me in my trusty home away from home, and can be photographed doing the most outrageous things.  In this selection you can see him helping me out researching areas around New Zealand.
